Passionate about Your Care
Pelvic health IS healthcare - and we go above and beyond to ensure your symptoms do not get swept under the rug.
Allison Van Hook, PT, DPT
From a young age, I knew I was going into healthcare. I went to an allied health high school, and after an internship at a local physical therapy clinic, my mind was made up. I attended Seton Hall University and completed their Doctor of Physical Therapy program, where I was fortunate enough to learn from industry leaders and passionate educators.
In graduate school, I realized my passion was patient advocacy and access to care. People of all walks of life struggle with pelvic floor issues, and they too often get swept under the rug or written off as normal. This is unacceptable. I knew this was what I wanted to focus my attention on. Unable to provide the standard of care I knew I was capable of in a clinic setting, I started my own practice. I am committed to evidence-based, personalized care that gets my patients back to their lives.
If you asked one of my peers or professors to describe me, they would probably describe me as passionate, caring, and a know-it-all (I accept this fully!) I have always strived for more in my personal and professional life. Following graduate school, my learning has continued through post-doctoral training in pelvic floor dysfunction, pregnancy rehabilitation, cancer rehabilitation, and excellence in treating orthopedic conditions.
